On February 20, 2016, we lost our dear friend and colleague, Leigh Coyle Anderson, Esq., after a yearlong battle with breast cancer; a battle she relentlessly and courageously fought to the very end.
Leigh was the valedictorian of her high school in Wisconsin. She later received her law degree from the University of Tennessee. In 2006, she married the love of her life, Dr. Erik Anderson. Together, they brought two wonderful children into this world.
Leigh was an outstanding and well-respected lawyer in our community. While she possessed so many superlative qualities as a lawyer, she was many times over a better mother, wife, friend and person. As a representative of her clients and this law firm, she exemplified integrity, skill, dedication and grace at all times. She routinely and proactively demonstrated her love, respect and empathy for friend and stranger alike, whether it be in her volunteer work at her children’s school and for the less fortunate in our society, rallying her fellow breast cancer comrades, advocating various quality of life improvements at local law firms or just by being Leigh. For all her excellence in these myriad ways, she was first and foremost an amazing and fully devoted mother and wife. Fortunately for all, her spirit lives on in her children.
Leigh will always be in our hearts, and the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. A finer person, we shall not know.
